WELCOME TO
INTERNATIONAL
CONFERENCE
JULY 20-30, 2024
ACCRA, GHANA
HOW?
Through interactive workshops, storytelling, games, speakers, panel discussions, artistic presentations, and films, participants will be encouraged to co-create and share stories and narratives of the futures we want; and enable the messages of the SIDS CONFERENCE 2024 to be memorable and impactful.
The use of live polls or surveys to gather audience opinions, relative to issues pertaining to the UN SIDS Conference and the SUMMIT OF THE FUTURE will engage audiences and provide information that informs civil society engagement in ongoing and follow-up processes.
UNGANA…
UNGANA in KiSwahili… meaning ‘gather’.
As the Africa Union (AU) has declared Swahili to be the first indigenous African Language as an official language of the AU, we intend that the African Space Community of Practice begin the process of indigenizing where possible with names and terms that reflect African intention to be present at the emergence of space economy in keeping with its past as the cradle of humanity.
